# How to join Community pool

## **IDO rule of Community pool**

* Anyone can join Community pool on Startup Pad, there is no tier requirement for this pool.
* Users must completed all required social tasks to get a chance of being whitelisted.&#x20;
* We apply the FCFS rule for Community pool on Startup Pad.
* The allocation Community pool is fixed (without Min-Max range) and it will be different based on each project.
* We will pick the winners list for Community pool 24-48 hours before the IDO starts.&#x20;

## How to join Community pool?

### **Before IDO**

**Step 1: Select pools**

Select a pool from the "Upcoming" section of Private Pad and view its details.

**Step 2: Do all media tasks as required**

To participate in this pool, click on the **"Task require"** button.&#x20;

You will be redirected to the airdrop site where you'll complete social tasks to be eligible for the community pool.&#x20;

Winners will be chosen randomly from participants who have completed all required tasks.

**Step 3: Check the allocation result**

To check if you're eligible to join Community pool, click on the project you want to join. If you're whitelisted, the allocation will appear.&#x20;

If you are not a community pool winner: The allocation is not displayed for users who are not community pool winners.

We will also announce the whitelist winners on [our media channels ](/introduction/contact-us/social-and-community.md)so keep an eye on it.

**Step 4: Ready for the private sale**

For community pool on Startup Pad, we will apply the FCFS rule, so make sure you:

* Have enough of the pool’s needed currency in your wallet to purchase the tokens
* Have enough the gas fee for the transaction.

### **IDO opens**

**Step 1: Find your pool**

At the [homepage of Startup Pad,](https://onbpad.com/home) click on the IDO project you want to join.

**Step 2: Switch your wallet to suitable network**

Switch your wallet to the network of IDO or you could not join the deal. We suggest using Metamask or wallets that generate the same address across different networks.

&#x20;**Step 3: Click on "Swap Now" button**

Click on **"Swap Now"** button to join the sale.

A window will open asking you to confirm transaction in your wallet. Click on **"Confirm"** button.

After a short wait, the **"Swap Now"** button will light off and show the **"Joined"** status. That means you have successfully joined an IDO on Startup Pad.

**Note:** We apply the FCFS rule for Community pool, so make sure you join the pool as fast as you can to reserve your allocation.
